* Coaxial 15" stage wedge arrives - (December 20th 2009)
Shermann's M25 super low profile stage wedge is here, albeit in prototype form.
The high efficiency 15" coaxial driver we've used is a superb piece of European engineering however, in terms of price the M25 will be
be less expensive than the older, larger MRL5.
We've also added a special link facility called "Link-Onwards" using an additional pair of NL4 sockets wired from input pins 2+ 2-.
This link allows a single four core cable to be used from your amp rack to drive four wedges (2 x 4ohm) with no special cables
required as long as all subsequent cabling has wiring to pins 1+ 1-.
"Link-Onwards" has the added advantage of reducing the quantity of on-stage wiring.
Shermann's M25 - born from experience and demand.
Click here - see the preliminary M25 data sheet and details of the new "Link-Onwards" facility.
* 2 x 18" bass cab offer extended - (December 11th 2009)
Because it's so close to Christmas we're spreading good tidings with our R218B and GS28 dual 18" deal and extending
the ordering time frame until
the end of January.
To be perfectly honest, the main reason for the extension has been the initial take-up of our offer and the fact that we're rather
inundated as December is limited to a three week manufacturing month.
Don't let that put you off though as this is a superb offer and ideal for anyone needing the power and depth of our excellent 2 x 18"
boxes.
Click here to learn more about the offer!
* New part-ex deals for 2010 - (December 7th 2009)
From January we'll be operating a more open policy about part exchanged gear.
Following this year's successes we'll be offering part exchange deals taking all types of good speakers, amplifiers
and DSP in part exchange for new Shermann cabs and possibly FFA amps too.
If you're considering purchasing new equipment in the new year call us soon - good deals are waiting.
* M25 stage wedge - (December 2nd)
We're working on a very low profile, compact stage wedge to be released later this month.
This 15"/1.4" will feature a wedge apex height some 20mm less then the diameter of its driver due to some
very careful design procedures.
The M25 is not a fashion statement; its
a
high quality, 128dB wedge for use by the discerning.
* December R218B deal - (November 28th)
Starting Tuesday December 1st the superb R218B dual 18" sub will be offered to all at a special
December price.
Order before December 31st - take your cabs before the end of January.
There is also a further price reduction on the first ordered pair when you purchase a second pair
of cabinets at the same time.
Call 01 686 622 997 or email info@shermann.com for more detailed information on this amazing
offer.
* Our newsletter to your screen - (November 21st)
If you'd like to receive the Shermann newsletter each month just send an email to info@shermann.com
asking for a copy and we'll do the rest.
The newsletter will arrive on the page and attached as a pdf.
* December special deal - (November 21st)
We're offering the amazing R218B (CB218) at a very sensible price during December.
The deal is simple - order during December, take delivery in December or January 2010.
Remember, if you're not vat registered the rate climbs from 15% to 17.5% on January 1st.
There's an even more lucrative offer if you order a second pair of cabs at the same time.
Call or email for more info' or see the December newsletter.
* The CB models return - (November 7th)
The incredibly popular CB215 & CB218 have returned to the Shermann R Series as the R215B & R218B.
We've made a few design improvements coupled with some structural modifications however, that ultra
rich deep bass quality along with that ever healthy kick drum response is still there - and improved.
The drivers are similar to the latter's days of the CB versions albeit somewhat updated.
One addition is an extra stand mount so a pole may now be used in vertical or horizontal mode.
Models fitted with NL4 sockets now use the NLT4 for additional reliability - NL8 sockets are also an option.
With great interest already shown and little chance of holding stock at present we're offering a three week
turnaround - plus or minus a couple of days.
We do have a demo pair so, if you'd like to hear the R218B please give us a call. (R215B data - R218B data)
* FFA6004 arrive - (November 5th)
Offering 1500watts in to 4ohms and 800watts in to 8 the FFA6004 power amplifier is an absolute beauty.
This 9.5kg 2U amp is one of life's winners offering the end user truly magnificent sound quality.
Driving our 2 way G5 / GS18 system the sound is truly effortless however, when used with our
recently
introduced bi-amped G15 models this amp really comes in to its own.
Ask us for a demo - you'll love it.
* Xi data sheets - (November 4th)
Now online at the Blue Acoustic site - Xi series data sheets. (Data here)
* First Xi products installed - (October 28th)
As part of a larger installation by Panic Music Services of Cambridge Blue Acoustic Xi8 cabs have been included for
use in an adjoining room to that housing the main PA system.
Shermann GL401 and GL3B have been used in the larger room of this newly built facility.
* G15 even lighter than expected - (Oct over 27th 2009)
Yes, our new G15 is even lighter than we anticipated hitting the scales at less then 22kgs - with all
fittings attached.
Although we have DSP settings for this new box G15 will perform perfectly well without them making
it the ideal "throw on a stick" box that will actually handle full-blown PA situations.
We would recommend partnering the G15 with the GS28 and further down the power line we'd definitely
suggest the use of the FFA6004 (4 ch' power amp) to drive the set-up along with an FFA8000 for the subs.
Exciting times for an exciting box - the Shermann G15. See the Data Sheet here.
* G15 follow-on - (October 9th 2009)
With customer suggestions taken on board we've designed possibly the most compact FOH box currently available.
The bi-amplified G15 is based upon the G5 cab shape - but even smaller.
Capable of 131dB at 1m a rig of two G15 plus two GS28 subs would give around 118dB at a 30ft mix position.
Weighing in at less than 24Kgs the G15 is the point source, truly coherent answer to 90% of all theatre
environments in the UK - just
add a pair of R2M or V6 if necessary for immediate front fills.
In fact, if you purchase a complete G15 / GS28 FOH rig c/w FFA amps and an Ashly DSP we're so confident
about the system
we'll actually GIVE you a pair of Shermann V6 worth £1,195.00 for free.
Please feel free to call 0845 644 2209 or email for further information.
* V15 on demo - (October 2nd 2009)
Our new triaxial 15" box is making the rounds to some excellent responses.
With a +/- 3dB response in the mid-hi section between 500Hz and 20KHz the vocal delivery
of this compact model is almost unparalleled.
Contact us for your demo of this amazing new product.
* Blue Acoustic - (October 2nd 2009)
The Blue Acoustic brand name is now a registered UK Trade Mark.
At least this time nobody was stupid enough to try and copy this registration of one of our brand names.
* New co-axial models - (October 2nd 2009)
In the Blue Acoustic range we have two new models released soon.
The Xi8 and Xi10 are compact installation cabs which may be equipped with a number of
mounting options including a newly introduced cost-effective wall bracket.
They'll also be available in a full touring finish if specified.
Check out the Blue Acoustic website soon for more info'.
* Launched - the Shermann V15 - (September 16th 2009)
A triaxial 15" cabinet; 99dB with 1kw handling (8ohm).
It's a FOH box, a twin
angle wedge, you can fly it and also place it on a stand or pole.
A true triaxial the V15 has three voice coils and two magnet assemblies but the entire cabinet weighs
in at just under 25kgs.
This advanced cabinet is now available for demo - call us on 01686 622997 for more info.
New data sheet - here.
* New V6 - launch soon - (September 11th 2009)
Look for a great new Shermann 6.5" coaxial model soon.
With its 200w handling and 92dB sensitivity the V6 will find room in hire departments and for use in
churches, schools, theatres and of course for AV events.
* Combining the best - (August 28th 2009)
Look for a beneficial change to the bond between SHERMANN Audio and Blue Acoustic in the coming weeks.
We're taking specific products from each brand and incorporating them in two simple specified zones.
The upshot will be that the SHERMANN Audio brand will represent all LIVE EVENT products and Blue Acoustic will
be the brand for our range of installed product series.
Commonality of components across both brands will be enhanced.
SHERMANN Audio will be re launched with several excellent products from the Blue Acoustic range added to
form the G-Series of FOH boxes.
In the new SHERMANN Audio V-Series of multi-role models will be an exciting new compact box with a revolutionary
15" driver.
A forthcoming model in the G-Series will be the G3, a super compact three way FOH box based on the G5 but loaded
with 12" a driver (98dB/800w).
The Blue Acoustic brand will feature several new models including the X-Series of coaxial two way 6", 8" and 10" models
all carefully designed for maximum reliability and great sound quality at a sensible price.
Also in the X Series will be new two way 12" and 15" models
We'll be sending a newsletter explaining the modest changes early in September however, if you want to know more about
the changes and improvements please call 01686 622 997 or email info@shermann.com.
* R2M and G5 to CSP .............. (July 28th 2009)
Amongst numerous new product sales this month were 10 x R2M and Shermann version G5 cabs to

CSP AV provide sound, lighting and Audio-Visual services throughout the UK.
* The CB218 returns .............. (July 20th 2009)
Customers have effectively dictated the return of the CB218 to the Shermann product range.
With an absence of several years where the R118B took over as the main bass unit in the Shermann
range many clients have decided that bigger is indeed as good and in many instances better.
Coupling two or more CB218 boxes together always made rooms vibrate
and with new technology bass units
coming forward along with a newly designed cabinet we predict great things from the newer model.
Power handling is up - to 1600w at 4ohms.
We should have more information and pictures available in the not too distant future.
* New Dx200 installed .............. (July 6th 2009)
The first of our new model Dx200 cabs have been installed in All Souls Church in Harlesdon.
Finished in a splattered white the cabs are supported by GS-W2 brackets also in a white finish.
These updated Dx models are now equipped with a 250w 10" bass/mid unit and an excellent 1" neodymium compression
driver fitted on a 90 x 60
horn.
Installed by west London based Crystal Clear Audio the contract also involved the supply and installation of a new
mixer and amplification fitted in to a lockable equipment rack.
The new system replaces an ancient 100v line speaker/amp installation.
Please click here to see a picture page of the new system.
* G5 in the sale .............. (June 19th 2009)
We have one pair of Blue Acoustic G5 cabs in our sale - the prototypes.
A few design changes have been made since these were built but very little noticeable externally.
They're in really good condition and we can supply them with their existing passive
crossovers or, ready for bi-amplified drive.
If you have any questions give us a call or drop an email across.
* Dx Series improvements .............. (June 10th 2009)
Following a lengthy re-design process we've made some changes to the Dx Series and, we now have these products available
as fully equipped rental models supplied in our extremely durable TPC finish.
In many Dx cabs power handling has been increased.
In some instances prices have actually dropped whilst component quality has improved through the introduction of some new bass drivers,
compression drivers
and horns.
As an example a totally new neo' midrange has been added to the Dx370 and Dx375 in addition, we'll have new price guides
featuring an improved discount structure available by the end of June.
If you need to know more call us on 01 686 622 997 or email info@shermann.com.
* Friday to Friday update .............. (June 8th 2009)
More changes on our permanent sale pages.
Lots of new items have gone with many more items having been taken in part-ex to fill their place.
We still have the incredible FFA3600 lightweight power amp - a hot favourite for any powerful FOH system.
Don't forget, we're really happy to accept recent or older Shermann boxes in part-ex for new models.
There's a worthwhile market for older products these days so give us a call on 01686 622997 or email info@shermann.com.
* Sales Success Continues .............. (May 11th 2009)
Following an excellent weekend we're leaving our Sales List on line; see the current list here.

real bargains - the RS5 and ex-demo R2M for instance; great deals.

* Disco Day at Coventry .............. (April 27th 2009)
Our annual pilgrimage to the NADJ convention held each April at the excellent National Motorcycle Museum near Coventry
went like
clockwork yesterday.
This year we provided the system for a day long list of seminars, meetings and music running in the main room between noon and 6pm.
The system was actually four Blue Acoustic cabinets (G5 and S18) along with a pair of Shermann R2M for front fill.
Powered by FFA3600 and FFA6000 power amps delivery on both speech and music was nothing short of stunning in fact, at no time
did the -10dB indicators on the amps ever show.
Another good day in Shermann's calendar.
* Porthcawl Grand Pavilion .............. (April 12th 2009)
The Grand Pavilion has recently been equipped with four Shermann G5 although at this venue they've
been fitted with
Shermann foams to match the additional Shermann cabs installed alongside the G5.
The first completely new system for over 20 years this Shermann system
was selected following bids and
demos
by a number of other
manufacturers.
Powering the system is another British product; FFA amplification along with system control from an Ashly
Audio 3:24CL DSP.
* MRL601 for Museum ................ (March 19th 2009)
The Reardon Smith Theatre in the
National Museum of Wales, Cathays Park, Cardiff has been equipped with Shermann MRL601
speakers.
Also supplied were Shermann's GS-W2 wall brackets to support the 601 cabs in this well used 350 seat venue.
* Newsletter delay ............... (March 9th 2009)
Shermann's monthly newsletter is late this month due mainly to pressure of work.
It should be ready by the 17th or 18th so keep checking the site.
If you don't normally get the newsletter
send us your email address.
* Barbara Dickson 09 tour ............... (March 8th 2009)
Shermann's successful touring heritage continues with Barbara Dickson & Band on their extensive 2009 UK tour.
RS5 and R118C are handling FOH requirements whilst a collection of R2M, MRL3 and MRL401 cabs are being used
as wedges.
As always, Gareth Fox-Williams of Kinetic is at the controls of his Yammy LS9/32 making the procedure not
only a quick-rig but a great sounding rig too.

We have more customers than ever before (many new customers too) who want to purchase reliable s/h cabs - preferably Shermann.
This is rather pleasant for us but right now demand outstrips supply so we can't satisfy all requirements.
Condition isn't that important as we can refurbish therefore, if you're ready for that all important upgrade give us a call or
email and we'll talk turkey.
* First of the new build Dx boxes ............... (February 20th 2009)

Newly designed Bx115 models were also finished in TRC black.

We've also updated the four Bx models and these will also be available for non-install customers finished in our
heavy duty TPC finish.

Our February newsletter is released with more information and introducing Blue Acoustic - link below this line.
See the newsletter here
* Blue Acoustic range to be released February 9th ........... (January 26th 2009)
Following intensive discussions at Shermann’s HQ in mid-Wales towards the end of last year the Gx Series of loudspeakers and
supporting equipment has been moved to a new product range.
The release of the G5 and several other previously planned models will still go ahead soon but not as Shermann products.
Blue Acoustic is the totally new brand name that will re-launch the G5 and its family of completely new loudspeakers and amplification
which in turn will feature a slightly different styling to current Shermann models.
The new brand will retain our incredibly tough TPC finish for touring products with the choice of coatings for installed systems.
We’ll be retaining the G prefix for FOH models however, we’ll have S prefix models for LF and VLF drive, V prefixes for multi-role
models and M prefixes for the wedges.
We decided that these new models and the way they will eventually be powered were better being one step removed from the totally
non-powered Shermann product range and we therefore decided upon Blue Acoustic as the new brand name.
A new website, www.blue-acoustic.com, will be launched and a separate email address will also be associated with the new products.
The two product ranges will run in tandem and the Blue
Acoustic email address will be info@blue-acoustic.com.
Go to the Blue Acoustic site here.
* Advance notice of new FFA amplifiers ........... (January 24th 2009)
New four channel amps ahead.
The guys at FFA are promising two new four channel amps by Spring 2009 both of which will be 2U and both extremely useful
if the outline specs are believed - and we do believe them.
The smaller will offer 4 x 1000w per channel in to 4ohms while the larger will
be capable of 1600w into the same
impedance.
There is also talk of these models being equipped with x/o and limiting functions.
Not exactly sure of the weights yet but judging by our excellent demo rack which is equipped with the FFA3600
is under 11kgs
and the FFA6000 at just 12kgs these will probably be within a Kg or so.
Final testing is presently ongoing so watch this space for more info.
* No Shermann price rises ............... (January 16th 2009)
We've been monitoring the state of our pound against other currencies in recent months but have decided
that there will be no Shermann price increase at this time.
Ever thoughtful of the cost of our systems to the end-user there are no plans for any changes unless the
Pound/Euro
relationship changes drastically for the worse during the next few weeks.
Unfortunately, with regard to the two Ashly Protea products that we handle we've been forced to make a
modest £20.00 per model increase with immediate effect.
* Second hand cabs ............... (January 12th 2009)
We've been doing great trade with new and s/h cabs in recent weeks.
Very soon we'll have CA6 cabs in the building ready to go as a great FOH box along with D650 models
and B850 subs.
Arriving soon we have some really ancient but well treated GX-Micro cabs - an original Shermann 10"/6.5"/HF
3 way model.
Not forgetting a pair of superb CA1 cabs and Bs115 subs too or maybe the last remaining MR12s.
Finally, the prototype G5 - an excellent bargain.
Check out the Sales Pages here.
* Sales Page Update ............... (December 24th 2008)
The LM401, CA2 and Bx215 have been sold whilst the CB218 are also sold subject to test in the new year.
Still plenty to see at the Sales Pages.
* A great December ............... (December 22nd 2008)
December has been a stunning month for new sales and as such, we now have a good number of s/h speaker bargains on our
Sales Pages many of which our customers have placed with us for sale.
New to these pages we have CA1, CA2 and Bx215 along with CA6, B850, CB218 and D650 cabs arriving soon.
We also have some ex-demo R2M as well as s/h GL9 & Bx115.
There's the excellent MR12 too of which we have only three pairs left - they've been selling fast.
If you're interested give us a call but do take a look at the Sales Pages - click here.
* G5 at gigs ............... (December 19th 2008)
The new Blue Acoustic G5 cabinet has been out and about amazing the population of the UK - well almost !
In truth it has been doing a variety of successful gigs and demos since release late in November.
Two observations have been paramount firstly, it's clarity especially on vocals and
secondly, it's output level
especially considering the size, weight
and portability of the G5 cabs.
Used with the R118B the G5 was last in action for a local show at Theatr Hafren on Dec 18th where the Madiaeval Baebes
performed
their repertoire of (as they say) "rich texts of medieval songs and poetry".
Six powerful voices, the oddest drum section and a variety of stringed instruments - fascinating.
For more info on this event click here.
* G5 out and about ............... (December 12th 2008)
Our new G5 box has been out locally at two school concerts in the past week.
Normally a difficult type of show for engineers on this occasion (experienced) sound man Tim Bowen was very vocal about
just how easily the school band and some often less than willing singers came across through our new system.
Powering the Shermann G5 and Shermann R118B sub with FFA amplifiers and an Ashly Protea x/o for an audience of about 350, the system actually
assisted the engineer in getting the vocals across no matter who was singing or talking.
Another vote of confidence for the G5.
See the Blue Acoustic G5 feature page
* Special Offer Page ................ (December 5th 2008)
Prototype LM401 and ex-demo R118C added to our new page.
