The Yamaha P Series

Medium weight power amplifiers offering a realistic performance to price ratio.

With 100% reliability on all models in the range sold to date these amplifiers come highly recommended to drive Shermann DxSeries and in less demanding applications, GL and MRL products.

Construction is equal to or even more robust than many amps at twice the price in addition all models are equipped with rear rack ears, an essential feature for all rack mounted units of this depth.

P Series amplifiers are also supplied with a number of useful feaures which include lo-pass and hi-pass filtering.
This facility of operating a bi-amped system is far superior to driving bass units with no filtering whatsoever.

Please note: the built-in processing feature should not be used with Shermann speakers as under test it appears to reduce the amplifier's headroom considerably.
If processing is required we would suggest the use of a good quality digital crossover and the sensible use of the available high pass filtering to maintain signal integrity thereby increasing the operating headroom of your system.

We've discovered that Yamaha have increased their prices to some considrable extent.
As a consequence, despite being extremely reliable, the P Series is no longer for us a viable low-priced amplifier.
We'll keep you informed as we progress our search for replacement power amps.
